The Covid Vaccine Is Now Available For Children Aged 12 To 14. How To Use the Cowin Portal To Register
Children between the ages of 12 and 14 will be eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine beginning March 16. This means that children born in the years 2008, 2009, and 2010 will be able to receive the vaccine. Anyone in the country aged 12 or older can register for immunizations through the Cowin portal and other authorized channels.
Mansukh L. Mandaviya, India’s union minister, announced the vaccine deployment for the age group on Twitter. According to the article, “If the children are safe, the country will be as well. I am pleased to inform you that the Covid immunization program for youngsters aged 12 to 13 and 13 to 14 years old will begin on March 16. Additionally, anyone aged 60 and up will be able to receive prophylactic doses.”
The Corbevax vaccine, made by Biological Evans in Hyderabad, will be given to this age group.
The vaccine’s registration will open today. Parents of children aged 12 to 14 years old can register for immunization slots through cowin.gov.in on March 16.
Here’s How to Use the Cowin Website to Schedule a Vaccination Appointment.
1. Use any web browser to go to www.cowin.gov.in.
2. In the top right corner, click the ‘Register/Sign In’ button.
3. Enter your phone number and the OTP you received to log in.
4. Create an account for your youngster on the Cowin portal.
If you’re using the same phone number you used to register for the vaccine, go to the upper right corner and hit the Add Member button.
If you’re using a new phone number, tap the Add Member button right away.
5. Finally, hit the Register button after entering essential information such as photo ID proof, photo ID number, name, gender, and year of birth.
6. Then, based on availability, select your preferred date, time slot, and immunization center, and click ‘Confirm.’
