‘Offer Desh Bhakti: This Indian Mobile Phone Company Will Replace Your ‘Chinese Phone’ For Free.

Lava Mobiles, a renowned smartphone maker in India, has developed a new type of marketing offer for individuals who own a specific Realme cellphone. Playing the ‘Desh Bhakti’ card, Lava Mobiles has announced that for individuals who register on the official Lava Mobiles website by January 7, 2022, it will exchange the ‘Realme 8s for free’ with a Lava AGNI 5G handset.

Lava Mobile called Realme a Chinese company and advised buyers to “Choose A-Side,” saying that Indians should only buy mobiles from Indian businesses. “India is my homeland. My smartphone, on the other hand, is Chinese. In a tweet, Lava asked, “Is that the real me?” The AGNI 5G, according to Lava, is “India’s first 5G smartphone.”

It’s worth noting that, while Realme’s parent firm, BBK, is based in China, the company currently manufactures phones in India at a shared factory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Not only that, but Realme also exports its made-in-India phones to nations such as Nepal. Almost all Chinese smartphone makers in India, not only Realme, operate manufacturing lines in the nation for local sales, employing thousands of workers.

Soon after Lava Mobiles announced this deal on Twitter, social media users were dissatisfied, believing that Lava was only utilizing the “Proudly Indian” moniker to sell devices rather than concentrating on the capabilities of Lava’s handsets. In response to Lava’s offer, a smartphone fan on Twitter commented, “Let things speak for themselves.”

The MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset is combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the smartphone. The phone’s battery capacity is 5,000mAh, and it supports 30W rapid charging.

A 64-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens are included in the Lava Agni 5G’s quad rear camera configuration.
