BSNL Introduces New exciting Prepaid And Broadband Plans For Its Users

BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, the state-owned telecommunications company has decided to make its presence known in the market by increasing its user base. The company plans on achieving this by introducing new and exciting offers on its recharge plans which will include special tariff vouchers (STV) and plan vouchers (PV) starting from Rs 99.

Following the same plan, BSNL introduced a promotional first recharge coupon (FRC) costing Rs 47 till March 31, 2021. This coupon will offer additional free data, SMS and an increased validity period. This plan also offers unlimited voice calling throughout India including the MTNL roaming regions, Mumbai and Delhi with a daily limit of 100 SMS.

Other similar prepaid plans that offer additional benefits come at different prices of Rs 99, Rs 298, Rs 319, Rs 399 and Rs 699.

Some other plans that provide such benefits are:

STV Rs 99: This prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calls from BSNL to any other network throughout the country and holds validity for 22 days. It will also offer additional 99 SMS without any additional cost.

STV Rs 298: This prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS along with free streaming access to Eros Now for a total of 54 days. It also provides 1 GB of high-speed data per day and reduces the speed to 40 Kbps after the threshold of 1 GB is reached. It also offers 2 GB extra data for an additional validity of days turning the entire validity to 56 days instead.

STV Rs 319: This prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calls from BSNL to any other network within the country for a validity of 75 days. It further provides the users with 10GB of data and 300 SMS till March 31, 2021.

BSNL has also introduced a broadband plan that costs Rs 555 and gives the users 500GB of data at a speed of 10Mbps. After this data limit is exhausted, the internet speed automatically decreases to 2Mbps. These broadband plans priced at Rs 299 and Rs 555 are available to both new and existing users. However, the new users who are registering for these broadband plans will have to pay an additional amount of Rs 500 as a security deposit. These plans will also give the users a free subscription to Yupp TV. This news was first reported by Telecom Talk.

Another interesting news along with this development is that Jio also offers a broadband plan at the same cost. BSNL will be offering free 4G-enabled SIM cards with Plan Voucher at the cost of Rs 75 to its new broadband and landline users present in Tamil Nadu and Kerala till March 31, 2021.

The broadband plan offered by BSNL at Rs 399: 

This broadband plan is also called the 200GB CUL  and gives the user 200GB of data at the speed of 10Mbps. Once the users exhaust this limit, the speed is reduced to 2mbps.

The broadband plan offered by Jio at Rs 399:

This broadband plan offered by Jio gives unlimited internet at the speed of 30 Mbps along with unlimited calling. However, there are no OTT benefits with this plan.

There are also other telecommunications companies present in the Indian market that offer different broadband plans with their own unique additional benefits.

For example, Excitel also offers broadband plans at Rs 399 per month in case the users are buying an annual subscription. Excitel offers unlimited data at a speed of 100 Mbps.

Airtel also boasts of having broadband plans that start from Rs 499. This Airtel XStream broadband plan of Rs 499 offers unlimited internet with a speed of 40 Mbps and the additional benefit of a free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, and Shaw academy. 

Note: Airtel XStream app provides the users access to Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo M, and Ultra.
