The target audience of this app includes bloggers, musicians, fashion designers, writers, painters, etc. Whenever they are faced with a dilemma, they can use this platform to connect with their fans regularly and follow their suggestions. Following fans’ suggestions might not go well with some. However, the interesting part is that the fans will be paid for giving ideas when they will clear doubts of people.
The app was founded by Courtne Smith, a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and also a former member of rapper Drake’s Management Team, and Filip Diarra, who is a designer and developer. You can download NewNew from AppStore.
How does this work?
When the creator registers on the platform, he/she will ask various questions from their fans and followers by conducting polls. The questions could be anything- what are the views of people about the next project that you are planning to undertake? or which cuisine to choose for dinner. The followers will be able to vote for a fee, out of which an undisclosed percentage will go to NewNew and the rest to the creator’s account.
There are chances that if you send the money, there is no way of getting it back. But the good part is that the followers have an option to request the NewNew creator to perform the task they want and if the creator chooses not to do it then the fan or the follower will not lose his/her money in this case.
Peter Theil, the founder of PayPal, leading US tech investment fund Andreessen Horowitz and Hollywood actor Will Smith have invested in this company. Snapchat, an American multimedia messaging group has provided technical support.
